Niklas Vetterer

I am a PhD candidate in economics at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) as part of the GradAB program, and at the University of Konstanz under the supervision of Prof. Sebastian Findeisen and Prof. Guido Schwerdt.

My research is in labor economics and inequality, with a focus on intergenerational mobility.
I use large-scale German administrative data to study how family background shapes labor market careers, and how firms, local labor markets, parental networks, and early-career conditions affect intergenerational mobility.
